Job Description:
We’re looking for an experienced UX designer who specializes in creating interactive web and mobile app experiences. You should be completely comfortable performing thorough user research and A-B testing to determine the best workflows, and base your wireframes and user experiences on those results. You’ll coordinate with our front-end designer to ensure that our users get to experience the best possible interactions on our site and in our applications.
You’ll be a great fit if you’re the kind of person who spends your free time identifying ways to improve existing interactions (site redesign proposals, anyone?). You should understand navigation systems, know the conventions and when to challenge them, and have the ability to process available information and present an elegant solution. You must be a great communicator who can work well with the rest of the design and development team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform user research and A-B testing to determine the best interactions for our users
- Plan out functional workflow for products
- Design wireframes and interaction points
- Work with design team to oversee implementation of wireframes to make sure they remain consistent
- Plan out consistency across mobile and web apps: we want you to create a seamless Aviary experience
Requirements:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in design or technology
- More than 2 years of professional application experience for a consumer-oriented website or design agency
- Proven track record of improving user experiences: you must have a portfolio and be able to show us before/after examples
- Design, usability, and technical experience in developing site maps, wireframes, visual design concepts, and working prototypes for database-driven web sites and mobile apps
