We are looking to hire a web developer here in the Web Team in NYU ITS to fill out our web team. The Web Developer will work in ITS and create web sites, apps, widgets, and systems for NYU.edu in collaboration with the Digital Communications group.We do a lot of developing in the Adobe/Day CQ5 web CMS environment, and we will provide Adobe/Day CQ training to the person we hire.
The skills we are looking for (and will help develop in this candidate) are:
Object-Oriented Java programming and JSP
OSGi framework
jQuery library
Apache Sling framework
Ext JS framework
JCR (Java Content Repository) (e.g., Apache Jackrabbit)
JSTL (JavaServer Pages Standard Tag Language)
In addition, we do some non-CMS web development in a LAMP environment, so skills like Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Perl, Oracle, and XML/RSS are good ones to have.
