INTERN: MTV Info Tech/Digital Media Fall internships

Requirements:

•          Students must be registered for an academic credit internship (i.e. internship class, seminar or transcript notation) with their college or University.

•          The program runs for a minimum of 10 weeks (excluding weekends).

•          Students must be available to work a minimum of two full days per week (no weekends).

•          Internships are open to college juniors and seniors, though some departments also accept graduate students and law school students.

•          The program runs during the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.

•          This is an unpaid internship and we do not offer housing.

IS&T Internships

•          Application Development – The legal application development department of IS&T develops and supports custom software solutions mainly for the legal, tax and business and law affairs departments

•          Desktop Support – This department is responsible for installing computers, troubleshooting computer problems, learning computer concepts.

•          IS&T Administration – The Online Database Administration Group is responsible for supporting back-end databases for most external MTV websites including, but not limited to, MTV, VH1, Comedy, CMT, Nick, Ifilm/Spike, Noggin, plus some Paramount sites.

•          Quality Assurance – The Interactive Services QA Group is responsible for testing multimedia websites and digital music projects for all of MTV Networks digital properties

Digital Media Internships

•          Digital Media Products/Wireless – Creates and manages the creation of all premium digital content for each channel properties across all digital platforms: online downloadable, multiplayer community, console, handheld, mobile and ITV games, as well as downloadable video that appears on iTunes and Xbox Live Arcade, among other services.

•          Games – The games group is responsible for creating game products for all our show brands as well as original properties around key events such as elections, sporting events and pop culture.  We produce and develop games for online, digital download and console devices.

•          Online Production – Works with on-air production to turn around content as it relates to a show’s on-air cycle.  There are a number of various components that go into online production ranging from creative writing to video production.
