The Yog team is currently housed in a startup incubator hosted by General Electric and OMD (the country’s largest advertising media firm). We have direct access to big name athletic brands that are interested in partnering with our product and providing distribution channels to promote awareness of our app.
Job Description:
We are looking for a lead back-end developer to design and implement all server-side data storage and client communication. The developer will work directly with the founders and have significant impact on the product before it launches. This is a great opportunity for you to take the technical lead on a project that will be endorsed by household brands and be distributed to a large user base.
Qualifications:
– Strong experience in backend programming (PHP or node.js)
– Experience with document-oriented databases such as CouchDB or
MongoDB and relational databases SQL/MySQL/NoSQL
– Previous work involving real time client – server – client interaction
– Writes efficient code, pays particular attention to minimizing run time
– Desire to be technical lead, self-starter who can pick up new languages
Location/Hours:
We are based in New York, but are flexible to a developer working remotely and on his/her own time schedule. The candidate must have enough time to complete an elegant and efficient final product that is app store ready.
Compensation:
Depends on experience and availability, potential for equity and/or revenue share.
