Media Intern Responsibilities
* Assist in monitoring the social web, using various analytical programs.
* Research blogs that align with the brand, messaging and marketing pillars
* Research other competitive and/or non-competing brands’ (within industry/category) social media activities
* Assist social with creating relevant, engaging content that aligns with brand as well as resonates with brand’s target demographic.
* Assist in researching and writing content
* Assist with publishing company newsletter
* Assist with event coordination
* Assist with media appearances
* Create and maintain press kits
Job Requirements:
* Must be able to dedicate 2 full workdays per week; this is an unpaid internship.
* Familiarity with social networks and social bookmarking (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn)
* Marketing/branding interest
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
* Excellent communication skills a must (oral and written)
* Self-driven to achieve goals; high energy level is essential; strong, dedicated work ethic
* Strong attention to detail
