Project Manager
We’re looking for a technically savvy, highly organized individual to manage the design, development and implementation of ALM’s network of websites and tools. The ideal individual will have a deep understanding of marketing principles and the creative process, but also have a passion for the Web and emerging technologies. The Web Project Manager will typically oversee multiple projects, shaping the overall strategies as well as managing the schedule and resources.
Responsibilities
- Translate business, marketing, and user needs into effective, scalable web strategies
- Develop and own content strategies for new and existing web properties
- Shepherd the creative and development processes to ensure that all deliverables are completed on time and within strategy
- Manage cross-functional teams of developers, designers, and content editors to successfully execute on strategy
- Develop and distribute planning documents and project briefs to cross-functional team members and key stakeholders Create, maintain, and communicate project schedules
- Manage project budgets and relationships with external agencies and contractors
Requirements
- 1-2 years experience in web project management
- Deep knowledge of the web development process including scope definition, information architecture, user experience, web technologies, content development, and metrics
- Keen understanding of marketing principles such as branding, content development, and visual design
- Experience working with and managing cross-functional teams
- Effective communicator and team player with strong organizational and execution skills
- Experience working with web content management systems
- Fluent with common web technologies such as HTML, CSS, SEO, CMS, and analytics
- Project management experience at a design firm, ad agency, or in-house marketing communications or creative services department preferred
- Ideal candidate will enjoy working with web technologies and grasp new ideas quickly
- Experience working with editors and publishers a plus.
