[JOB] SA Analytics

Due to expansion of our Data Strategy and Analysis practice in New York, SapientNitro is seeking a seasoned digital media strategist for our revenue generating consulting and services group.

 

The Senior Associate will work integrally with the media planning, account, creative and business intelligence teams to support data analysis for the advancement of client business. He or she will be the Data Strategy and Analysis liaison to internal and external Business Intelligence reporting tools, ad-serving platforms and site-tracking solutions.

 

Working in collaboration with media planning, account and creative teams, the Senior Associate will deliver models and reports and other deliverables to allow for insightful media analysis, customer analysis and business forecasting.

The Senior Associate may also assist in the development of reporting or querying in SQL, Access and/or Excel to support development of a larger proprietary BI database/reporting solution driven by the Data Strategy & Analytics team.

 

To be successful, this individual must be highly analytical, have a proven track record in data-rich analysis, a self-starter, responsive and business savvy.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility Include:

  • Developing analytical framework and measurement plans primarily for media, financial services, e-commerce, and multi-channel marketing clients
  • Partnering with the media planning teams to establish client campaign goals, objectives and measures of success; providing status reports and campaign optimization strategies
  • Creating test plans for cross channel attribution
  • Implementing digital tracking strategies for advertising and Internet campaigns
  • Forecasting campaign success and producing post-buy reports for future media planning; employing benchmarking via industry best practices
  • Creating and producing analytical dashboards; identifying ‘quick wins’
  • Contributing digital media insight and thought-leadership during new business pitches
  • Contributing to internal or client-related database development as required to integrate acquisition, retention and site data into a BI environment for future analysis and reporting

Cross Channel Marketing Assessment

•     Guide measurement and analysis across multiple client channels and data sets; articulate best practice approaches and guides multiple teams simultaneously.  This includes digital (SEO, search, display, CRM, web, etc), traditional (radio, TV, database, etc), retail, POS, mobile, etc.

•     Synthesize assessment insights with other insights (market research, competitive research, and brand assessment, analytics) to develop fully informed and holistic marketing strategy

Marketing Strategy & Planning

•     Develop deliverable frameworks and guide development of core marketing strategies, including:

o         Pilot Program Development

o         Customer Segmentation Strategy

o         Sales / Marketing Lifecycle Development

o         Concept Modeling

o         Web/Domain Strategy

o         E-commerce/POS/Pop Strategy

o         Marketing Strategy

o         CRM Strategy

•     Coordinate and consolidate insights across primary and secondary research, analytics, brand strategy and marketing strategy to create holistic view of current marketing and business performance and identify opportunities for optimizing marketing and business strategy

•     Develop short-term ‘quick wins’ and longer-term roadmaps for activating marketing strategies

 

Business Development

•     Support business development activities, client proposals and Statements of Work

•     Build relationships with clients and identify new business opportunities (up-sell)

•     Identify new business opportunities across the full spectrum of Marketing Strategy & Analysis offerings (cross-sell)

  • Integrate comprehensive solutions that highlight the importance of measurement and return-on-investment.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree a plus
  • 2 – 3 years in data or business analysis or related field
  • At least 2 years experience with ad serving technologies (e.g., trafficking, media planning, reporting)
  • Previous experience in a digital agency, consultancy or a media background preferred
  • High-level of proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access along with a clear understanding of SAS, SPSS, SQL Server and other analytical tools
  • Must be a self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Proven ability to efficiently manage and implement quick-turnaround for tactical projects
  • Ability to explain analytical outcomes to internal and external clients in business terms
  • Ability to contribute new ideas to benefit the overall Data Strategy & Analysis business.

 

 

Computer and Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Power user of:
    • Data Mining tools (e.g., SAS, SPSS, SQL Server)
    • Ad-Serving Technologies (e.g., DoubleClick Dart, MediaPlex, Check8, Flash Talking, 24/7 Real Media)
    • Media Planning tools (e.g., AdRelevence, @Plan, MediaVisor, Comscore, IMS, MRI, Simmons)
    • Business Intelligence tools (e.g., MicroStrategy, Cognos)

 

  • Experience with reporting and dashboarding in web analytics tools (e.g., WebTrends, Omniture, Google Analytics) a plus
  • Experience with web site testing and optimization tools  (e.g., Test & Target, Optimize, Optimost) a plus
  • Experience with other analytical tools (e.g., Hitwise, Compete, Quantcast) a plus
