We seek a Project Manager who under the direction of the Director, IT&NM and in conjunction with the Associate Director, Information Services and Director, Interactive Services, the Project Manager is responsible for shaping and strengthening Carnegie Hall’s business operations through supporting existing application systems and implementing new technology initiatives.  The Project Manager’s principal responsibilities are to:  Assist with process of developing the RFP/RFI for application and online software projects; Create project plans to deliver the proposed approach, including time and cost estimates; and Oversee the design, development and implementation phases of projects, coordinating with the staff and vendors, and always insuring that scope, schedule and budgetary objectives are being met.  The Project Manager also plays a hands-on role in the development of applications and databases, including design, coding, report writing, screen layouts, scripting tools and interfaces as required. Additional Project Manager activities include, but are not limited to: Developing automated processes to improve business operations and the online customer experience;  Analyzing, defining and documenting requirements for data workflow, logical processes, interfaces with other systems,  and internal and external checks and controls and output; Writing and maintaining technical specifications; Providing technical assistance as needed by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems or questions; and Learning any language or technology necessary to meet the needs of the assigned task.  Performing other related duties as required.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years prior experience in applications management and the software development life cycle.  Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server with thorough understanding of table structures, T-SQL scripting, and MS Reporting Services is a must.  Prior experience developing in Microsoft.NET framework including ASP.NET, ADO.NET, C#, and XML is required.  Knowledge of front-end web development, scripting, and tagging principals (XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript) and familiarity with AJAX, XSL, and JavaScript libraries, are highly desirable.  Experience with Data Warehousing is a plus.  Prior work experience with a performing arts or an educational organization is preferred.  Experience with Tessitura and Ektron CMS400 are highly desirable.  Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and with great attention to detail.
