Web Developer – iMentor is Hiring – NYC
iMentor is seeking 2 highly skilled Web Developers excited by the potential of leveraging technology for social good to contribute to the continued development of the iMentor Interactive (iMi) mentoring platform through systems analysis, system and software design, development and testing, among other software development activities. Current technologies in use for the iMi Platform include Python, Django, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, HTML, CSS, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Technology, these software engineers will be founding members of a high-productivity, high-quality, user-centric team responsible for the development and deployment of the web-based iMi Platform. These developers will ensure the sustainability and scalability of the iMi platform to support one of the largest mentoring programs in any single city and to lead a national mentoring movement. Here at iMentor, the software development team is not shoved off in a corner to code; the team is highly visible and an essential part of the long term strategic effort to achieve iMentor’s vision.
Top candidates will be interdisciplinary thinkers motivated by building real-world solutions for real-world needs, think Open Source is cool, and they will be thirsty to synthesize the challenges of a variety of problem domains and users, including Power Users and Technology Neophytes.
