Position Scope:

We are looking for an Product Management Intern to join the Product Management team to take ownership of one of our key strategic initiatives. You will explore all of the alternative solutions, develop a business case for the preferred solution, develop an execution plan, and present your conclusions to management.

The primary role of Product Managers within Group Commerce is to define our product vision and roadmap, and to work with our team of software engineers to prioritize projects (considering resource constraints) and execute against this roadmap. We are also responsible for industry analysis, product marketing, and working closely with our publisher partners to understand their needs. You will work cross-functionally with our Engineering Team, Designers, and other internal teams to complete your project.

Sample intern projects include:

  • Competitive analysis of product capabilities
  • Developing a pricing model for various components of our offering
  • Developing a social media product strategy based on data analysis
  • Creating a product marketing plan and associated materials for a particular release
  • Defining future product capabilities to fill a particular market need

Skills/Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Graduate or MBA program
  • 2+ years of prior experience in consulting, business development, or product management
  • Resourceful, a self-starter, and an efficient problem-solver
  • Demonstrated interest in e-commerce and digital media
  • Passionate about entrepreneurship and technology
  • Exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
  • Available to work on-site (in Noho) for 35 – 40 hours a week during 10 weeks of the summer
