Position Summary:
As part of the MSSB Internet Strategy and User Experience group, the Senior Information Architect is responsible for guiding and creating the user experience for web and desktop applications across the firm that support the needs of our clients and financial advisors. Key platforms supported by our team include:
• 3D desktop: a robust data- and transaction-oriented desktop application that supports all aspects of client management and branch operations
• 3D Resources: an internal content portal used by the entire firm
• Center for Investment Excellence: a research and partnership portal
• MSSB.com and MSSB Online: an online investment and banking application for MSSB clients
• Various social initiatives, including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
• Financial Advisor marketing websites

Experience:
5-8 years of industry experience in a well established information architect and/or user experience role with emphasis on user interface design for complex, data-driven websites and/or applications. Financial services experience a plus.

Skills/Abilities:
Ability to develop the information architecture and user experience of a new application system for financial advisors:
– Create wireframes, navigation models, interaction patterns, workflows and usability guidelines
– Conduct UX quality assurance and user acceptance testing
– Participate in usability sessions with stakeholders and end users
– Collaborate closely with business and technology partners throughout the organization (e.g., platform strategy leads, business leads, marketing, technology, end users)
– Be the UX subject matter expert across MSSB platforms – create documentation and guide consultants and knowledge transfer as consultants come and go
– Impeccable standards of delivery for him/herself
– Experience in: Microsoft Office and standard UX design tools (Visio, Axure)
– Excellent analytical and process-oriented skills
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Ability to oversee multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and ensure deadlines are met

– Impeccable standards of delivery for him/herself
– Experience in: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Microsoft Office
– Excellent analytical and process-oriented skills
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Ability to oversee multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and ensure deadlines are met
