[JOB] Digital Production Manager Position, IFC.com

Responsible for front-end production on all pages of IFC.com and production support of interactive content, including editorial, original video content and marketing initiatives for IFC.com, IFC TV and their associated properties.

OPERATIONAL ACTIVITIES OF THIS POSITION

1. Responsible for front-end production of all pages on IFC.com using content management systems and HTML/CSS, including, but not limited to, creating news and show sections, sponsored pages, updating feature touts on homepage and other index pages.
2. Regularly check website to ensure that all aspects are functioning correctly (daily quality assurance monitoring).
3. Oversee use of video streaming technology on the site and create and update Brightcove video players and elements as needed.
4. Create and deploy email newsletters in HTML and text formats.
5. Implement all custom sponsorship elements and reporting requirements using DART and Omniture. Ensure that banner, pre-roll and other advertising requests run smoothly from a production perspective.
6. Responsible for correct use and placement of Omniture tags on all pages of the site and accuracy of Omniture reporting
7. Assist Director of Online Media to assign, manage and supervise work performed by outside contractors, vendors and out-of-house projects
8. Production or supervision of special web projects using advanced web technologies including Flash, HTML, XML, CSS, and JS
9. Work closely with Rainbow Digital Media team and eMedia to follow company procedures for technical development and hosting requirements
10. Responsible for mobile applications being submitted to and approved by iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, and other mobile app stores.
11. Work collaboratively with different creative and application development teams
12. Follow integration standards, processes, and methodologies
13. Possess a solid understanding of client-side and web-based technologies.
14. Ensure that all outgoing projects meet best practices

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Management Skills
a) Ability to meet inflexible deadlines
b) Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
c) Proven project-team leadership, resource management and communication skills.

2. Technical/Functional Competencies
a) Knowledge of Content Management Systems, preferably WordPress
b) Extensive knowledge of HTML. Ability to write clean, light efficient code.
c) Know at a glance how a page was put together.
d) Ability to develop and implement advanced CSS and HTML5
e) Advanced knowledge of graphics production, up-to-date skills in Photoshop and Illustrator
f) Knowledge of and experience with browser compatibility issues and quirks for IE 6.x and above, Firefox 1.x and above, and Safari for Windows and Mac platforms as appropriate.
g) Experience in performing multi-platform quality assurance.
h) Understand the concepts inherent in information architecture, user-interface design and search engine optimization.

3. Key Experiences/Achievements
a) BS/BA in Computer Science, Interactive Technology or a related field.
b) 3 – 5 years of Web technology and project management experience.
c) Work in a team environment and collaborated with technical peers, creative designers, and project managers.
