[JOB] UX/UI Designer, Classic Specs

You’ll be one of the first members of our product team helping us build and define a revolutionary new concept and purchasing experience in ecommerce. We’re backed by former executives from Gilt, Bloomingdales, Yahoo!, Google, and more. We create gorgeous products in partnership with brands and help distribute them to consumers.

You’ll be designing landing pages, collection pages, product pages, and checkout flows. You’ll also have an eye for well designed physical product and insight into what makes a dynamite customer experience (online + offline). You’re a big thinker with tremendous ambitions but also an eye for the little things. You’ll work closely with our marketing team to help iterate on your initial designs. You’ll have a strong opinion – if something isn’t up to your standards you’ll say something even if it’s not your direct responsibility.

This is your chance to influence and build a product from the ground up in a $30B+ market. You’ll be a great fit if you love food, love traveling outside of the country (more than just the Caribbean) and have great taste in film. We’re early stage which means if you’re the right fit you’ll become an owner of the company alongside everyone else. Don’t send us a long convoluted cover letter that you use for every post, just send us a quick three – four sentence description of yourself along with a link to your portfolio, twitter, and tumblr pages.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Wireframe landing pages, collection pages, product pages, checkout flows, and continuously deploy in an agile environment.
• Translate complex funnels into an easy and enjoyable purchasing experience.
• Develop new and interesting UX and social mechanisms.
• Interact with our customers to identify pain points in current designs and work on solutions to alleviate them.

Here’s what we expect you to have:

• 3 – 5+ years of experience, ecommerce experience is a big plus.
• Great design aesthetic and a gorgeous portfolio. You’ll break all the rules to create an amazing design experience
• Ability to manage UX designs, including concept sketches, and mood boards
• Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, and knowledge of HTML and CSS to build working examples is big plus.
