E-commerce Merchandising Assistant or Manager

Here’s the skinny:
This position is part of Alloy’s Product and Technology group focused
on e-commerce initiatives for Alloy’s video properties. Target
demographic: 12-21 year old guys and girls.
Alloy’s most viewed property is humor site Smosh which is in the top 3
of most view Youtube channels with 6.2 million subscribers and 1.9
billion views (and recently launched Smosh Games). Â Alloy also owns
ClevverTV, an entertainment and celebrity focused youtube channels
that just surpassed 1 billion views (mainly teen girl demographic).
Alloy recently acquired video game site The Escapist (Zero Punctuation
is their most popular video series).
A new position has been created for an E-commerce Merchandising
Manager who has experience and/or interest in analytics, fashion, geek
culture, technology and e-commerce. Bonus if this person likes the
Onion, College Humor, video games, stores like Urban Outfitters / H&M,
sites like Fab.com and/or youtube culture.. A sense of humor, being
kind to people and animals, and staying calm in a fast-paced
entrepreneurial environment is a plus.
Duties include:
-Updating and maintaining e-commerce site(s)
-Managing Analytics, Sales and Inventory reporting
-Working on video annotations
-Assists with merch related social media, trend research,
merchandising and product development.
Merchandise categories include Guys and Girls clothing, accessories,
digital goods and geek toys. I need to fill this full-time position
asap…ideally to start Jan 2. I am also willing to consider a 3-4 month
full-time freelance scenario. Salary commensurate with experience.
