Sosolimited is looking for a creative coder to join their Boston art and technology studio. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong programming background who is also interested in visual arts and design.
Sosolimited is a design studio founded in 2003 by three MIT grads. Today we work on a diverse collection of projects, ranging from interactive installations for museums and private corporations to web applications.
We are engineers working as designers and artists. Our studio is as excited by technology as we are about the artistic possibilities it creates, and for that reason, we strive to maintain a balance between our commercial and artistic work.
For the 2012 Olympics we turned the London Eye observation wheel into a massive data visualization of Twitter sentiment. We specialize in live transformations of media, such as ReConstitution, an award-winning live remix of the US Presidential Debates. Our clients include Vice Media, IBM, HBO, Chevy and Cirque de Soleil. A complete portfolio can be seen at www.sosolimited.com
We are looking to hire a full-time creative coder starting in June 2013. We offer an exciting work environment, a small team, and a rewarding mix of projects.
The candidate should have a background in software development but an eye for artistic detail. We work with many platforms and languages. On the installation side, we use C++, OpenGL, and OpenFrameworks. On the web and mobile side, we use JavaScript, NodeJS, Backbone.js, and Python. Experience with these languages is a big plus. Skills in graphic design, fabrication, engineering, and hardware design are all applicable.
