Position Overview:
Brownstone Tutors, a Brooklyn-based tutoring and test-prep company, is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Technologist to create and maintain the digital infrastructure for the company. We’re looking for someone with strong web and mobile application development skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Website upgrade, including creation of mobile version
- Transfer or upgrade of client management system (scheduling, billing, communication)
- Work with management team to design assessment tools and other online features
Qualifications:
We are looking for a well-rounded developer with strong communication skills who is also interested in bringing their own ideas and creativity to the table. The ideal candidate will have experience in and/or familiarity with the following areas:
- user interface design and programming
- database and/or customer management systems
- app creation for iOS and Android
- WordPress and/or PHP/MySQL and CSS
Additional pluses:
- experience working collaboratively, preferably in education
- experience with Adwords and/or other online marketing interest, including social media
- experience managing freelance developers
- familiarity with Adobe design applications (Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Terms:
- 20-25 hours a week
