Director of Interactive Technology

Blue Telescope is seeking a Director of Interactive Technology to join our team in creating next-generation multimedia installations. Our award-winning work uses a blend of technologies to create engaging, state-of-the-art media experiences in museums, visitor centers, and corporate exhibits. This multi-disciplinary position requires a deep understanding of emerging and mature technology platforms, the skills to work with both software and hardware hands-on, and the imagination to develop innovative multimedia experiences.

Responsibilities include:

Technical Direction: Work with our creative staff to develop exhibit concepts and research, recommend, and specify hardware/software solutions.

R&D: Research and prototype new hardware and software platforms for use in creative projects. Present findings both internally and externally at conferences and client meetings.

Front-End Development: Write software applications and utilities to leverage display and interaction technologies into next-generation user interfaces.

Hardware Integration: Supervise on site AV and technology logistics, installation, and maintenance for clients such as museums, visitor centers, and temporary exhibits.

Team Support: Work with our team of developers to provide integration assistance and supervise quality assurance testing and software deployment. Manage hardware and software inventory and provide in-office technical support.
