Target Technology Innovation Center – Experience Design Intern
Job Description:
Target is seeking an Experience Design intern for Target’s Technology Innovation Center based in San Francisco, CA. You will learn from a multi-disciplinary team of experts that are building futuristic products and researching groundbreaking concepts.
Impact:
At Target’s Technology Innovation Center, you’ll be given the opportunity to influence new commerce technologies and experiences by creating concepts and prototypes. Our intern will be mentored by an expert in this office. The intern will research, test and build innovative concepts for new products utilizing emerging
technologies.
Qualifications:
Open to graduate level students
Currently enrolled in Interaction Design, Visual or Information Design Master’s program (or related discipline) and graduates on or before summer of 2015
Experience with wireframes, visual comps, storyboards and sketching
Experience with tools such as InDesign, PhotoShop, Axure etc…
Experience designing for a variety of channels, media and platformså8
Well-versed on Human-Centric Design methods and thinking
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team oriented thinking
Ability to thrive in a quick paced, creative and experimental environment
Experience with user research a plus
About Target Technology Innovation Center:
The mission of the office is to research and create futuristic products with emerging technologies. We work with cool technologies that are only available to elite teams. It is located in the South of Market area in San Francisco. It opened its doors to the first hires in November 2012 and since then, has grown to a team of 20.
The team is a mix of engineers, technical architects, product managers, UX, and data scientists.
