Target Technology Innovation Center – Software Engineer Intern
Job Description:
Target is seeking a software engineer intern for Target’s Technology Innovation Center based in San Francisco, CA. You will learn from a team of expert and versatile engineers that are building futuristic products and researching groundbreaking concepts.
Impact:
At Target’s Technology Innovation Center, you’ll be given the opportunity to influence new ideas to transform retail and will provide spike developments and prototypes. Our intern will be mentored by a technical expert in this office. The intern will research, test and build innovative new products utilizing emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
Open to both graduate and undergraduate level students
Currently enrolled in Computer Science/Computer Engineering program (or related technical discipline) and graduates on or before summer of 2015
Experience programming in Java or Python
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team oriented thinking
Ability to thrive in a quick paced, creative and experimental environment
Experience with Git, mobile development a plus
About Target Technology Innovation Center:
The mission of the office is to research and create futuristic products with emerging technologies. We work with cool technologies that are only available to elite teams. It is located in the South of Market area in San Francisco. It opened its doors to the first hires in November 2012 and since then, has grown to a team of 20.
The team is a mix of engineers, technical architects, product managers, UX, and data scientists.
