Position: Digital Program Director, NYC College Line

Position Description
Launched in February, 2013, NYC College Line (NYCCL) is the City’s unique solution to the information gap surrounding college exploration, application, financing and completion for young people in New York. By leveraging the expertise of its partner organizations, connecting to the best tools available, and creating new materials where they do not already exist, NYCCL aims to become the foremost local college access and success destination for students, parents, and the school-, college-, and community-based professionals who support them.
The Digital Program Director for NYC College Line will direct and have accountability for all aspects of the operations and ongoing development and success of NYCCL. The Director is responsible for alignment and coordination of all aspects of the operation of the website and brand. This includes responsibilities related to partnership and staff management, running leadership team meetings, day-to-day operations, evaluation and testing, and overseeing contracts and deliverables of any consultants or firms connected to NYCCL, with the goal of ensuring that all annual targets are met or exceeded. This is an exciting opportunity to lead an important piece of work for NYC counselors, students and parents, and in collaboration with primary city agencies and partner organizations that are working on college access and success.
Primary Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
• In collaboration with Director of Graduate NYC! (the parent organization) and the leadership team for NYC College Line, set and guide vision, strategy, and goal attainment for the site and brand
• Plan, direct, coordinate and lead NYCCL activities to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters
• Directly supervise all NYC College Line staff and related vendors, while ensuring that partner organizations are on track to accomplishing goals
• Manage any leadership teams, committees, or boards connected to NYC College Line
• Develop and evaluate partnerships that will enable the long-term success, viability, and continued evolution of NYCCL among non-profits, government agencies, individuals, and the private sector
• Support fundraising efforts connected to NYC College Line and Graduate NYC!, including presentations to funders, grant proposals, grant reporting, goal tracking, evaluation, and other responsibilities as needed
Operations & Technical Support
• Monitor, evaluate and report on success of NYCCL initiatives through the use of Google Analytics, Survey monkey and user feedback
• Continually assess and address user feedback on the website and behavioral patterns identified through site analytics
• Deliver public presentations about NYC College Line and communicate the website’s purpose, value and importance to policymakers, senior level administrators, staff, youth and parents
• Network with local educational institutions; non-profit organizations; and private sector business interests for future program development
Marketing & Communications
• Work with the Integrated Marketing Communications Manager to ensure message alignment for NYCCL across organizations
• Identify opportunities for generating awareness about NYCCL and growing user base
• Lead outreach efforts to connect NYCCL to the various college readiness and success events in the city throughout the year
• Elevate the profile and general awareness of NYCCL through presentations, partnerships, marketing activities and regular business operations
Qualifications & Core Competencies
Required

- · Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- · A minimum of five years of experience managing web-based products
- · A minimum of two years direct supervisory experience
- · A minimum of one year experience working with Google Analytics
- · Strong data analysis as well as research and evaluation skills
- · Experience managing complex projects
Desired
- · Two or more years working for or managing relationships with the NYC Department of Education or the City University of New York
- · Experience in the field of college access or youth development
- · Experience managing web-based projects for youth
