Lead Designer for San Francisco Music and Video App Startup
Eyegroove (http://www.eyegroove.com) is seeking a hands-on Lead Designer within a startup product team. You should have a strong sense of the logic and flow of interaction design for mobile and web apps combined with a visual sense of humor, inventiveness, playfulness, and flexibility of style. You will join a small team creating what we believe will become a huge product. You are:

Skilled in empathetic understanding of how logic connects with design for deceptively simple, yet highly powerful interaction designs

Skilled in the entire interaction design process for app and web, from rough sketches to pixel-perfect designs
-
Able to decimate designs into organized, well-named assets
-
Voracious in absorbing new standards for web and app design
-
Excellent at giving and receiving constructive design feedback, and defending decisions based on user-centered scenarios

Understanding of the power of animation and humor in interfaces
These skills are rather useful:

iOS App design, and a familiarity with current iOS 7 and Android idioms, guidelines and best practices

Ability to translate designs into web code

Experience with DJ, VJ, game, DEMO, and other visualization systems

Responsibilities

Iteratively design and re-design app user experience
-
Revise designs based on data analytics, and understand the connection between analytics and design
-
Give clear, iterative feedback to engineers implementing designs
-
Work closely with a small startup team to integrate engineering, experience, and visual goals into designs

Create designs for public website and web apps
-
Refine design of our custom content management and administrative interfaces
-
Work with illustrators, animators, and videographers
-
Communicate to, and learn from our engineering team

Design for multiple platforms
