Open mHealth is hiring for a lead designer!
Job description
Open mHealth are building the way for personalized, data-driven healthcare through an open architecture and clinically intelligent, beautifully designed products. To date we’ve demonstrated the power of the architecture and have formed partnerships across the industry. We’re now building out core products that demonstrate the power of the architecture, and realize the full potential of digital health data. The success of any of these products is highly dependent on strong, beautiful design — design that can drive the adoption of the products and enable valuable insights to be derived from health data. We’re looking for an experienced UX and visual designer to join full-time to start working on a big new project.
What we’re looking for
- UX / visual designer with 3-4 years working experience
- Strong portfolio, including examples of UX work process, high-fidelity visual designs, and previous mobile work.
- Ideally, basic front-end technical experience (e.g. html, javascript). This is not mandatory.
- Design toolset expertise is a given :)
While Open mHealth is based in NYC and San Francisco, we’re looking to hire for the best fit, so can be flexible on location. We also have great benefits, including:
- Health, dental, vision, 403b, life insurance
- Stipend for healthy activities (e.g. gym membership)
- Stipend for a CSA box
- Flexible hours, including summer hours
- Remote working
How to apply
Send along a resume, cover letter and your portfolio to to anna@openmhealth.org, including:
- Why you want to become the lead designer at Open mHealth.
- At least one example of a relevant product or project you’ve worked on.
Who we are
Open mHealth was founded by Ida Sim, a clinician at UCSF, and Deborah Estrin, Professor of Computer Science at Cornell Tech, who came together over a shared vision of the potential for well-integrated digital health data to radically change the way we understand and manage health. Along with a team of developers, they built the foundations of the open architecture and a number of initial proof-of-concept projects.
