IPG Media Lab is equal parts think tank, real-world proving ground, and change enabler. The Lab’s single focus is to find new ways to solve problems by applying the latest technology to marketing challenges through custom-tailored, client-led experiments that scale. We start with talking to our clients and identifying their challenges, and then determine how to use emerging technology to solve that problem. We are currently seeking a smart Senior Web Developer to fill an immediate need. Position reports to the Creative Director.
Required Skills
You live at the intersection of stories and code. You’re most comfortable with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, but if you have to make something in Xcode you’ll make it happen or you’ll figure it out. You care about everything with your name on it being pixel perfect for no other reason than it just has to. You love backend technologies and when someone says “we should build this Node/Unix/Mongo” you say “that would be awesome, but before we do that, why?” Any language, any stack, anytime as long as it’s the right one.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
- Minimum of 4+ years applicable experience, preferably within an agency
- Frontend – Mobile (iOS / Android)
- Backend – Python, Ruby, C, Scala, etc.
- Creative vision and ability to think out-the-box
- Excellent communication skills – both written & verbal
- Proven ability to develop and maintain high level professional relationships with senior level clients, colleagues and vendors
- Able to rapidly adapt to changes and tight deadlines
- Extremely detail oriented
- Strong organizational skills
