About the company:
goTenna is a Williamsburg, Brooklyn based startup building products that enable completely decentralized
communication. We’re starting with an eponymous device that, paired with your smartphone, lets you
communicate with friends even when you have no cell or data service. goTenna aims to become a part of
everyone’s technology essentials, reducing our reliance on cell towers and wifi routers, and providing users the
ability to create a network on their terms, anywhere in the world, free from charges or fees. We care a ton about
what we’re building — from both philosophical and technological perspectives — and our team is a scrappy group
(6 FT + 2 interns), armed with a seed round of venture capital from some really nice folks (incl. Collaborative Fund,

About the role:
We’ve just launched our company and first product, so this is an amazing opportunity for someone to get in on the
ground floor. Our timeline is fast (and fun), and that should suit you.
We are seeking a wireless systems architect with strong experience in RF and networking. The ideal candidate
should have a track record in designing innovative solutions to unique wireless networking problems, particularly
adhoc networks. The ability to code for and work with MATLAB is required.
The person in this role would work alongside our hardware and firmware engineers to implement a scalable
wireless systems architecture for goTenna at the firmware level across a variety of products and devices.
Requirements & desired skills:
● Masters or higher in electrical engineering, with a focus in networking/communications
● 5+ years of experience solving and implementing networking solutions desired
● Experience in hardware desirable
● Experience with embedded system engineering strongly desired
This is a fulltime position based in Brooklyn, reporting to the CTO. Compensation package includes: annual
salary, equity, benefits (100% of premiums covered), a $2,000 technology stipend, and a month of holidays and
PTO each year.
