The School of Communication is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking interaction design professional to join our faculty as a Lecturer (non-tenure track) to teach courses beginning Spring 2015. With undergraduate programs in communication studies, advertising, public relations, journalism, cinema, and interactive media, the School of Communication is a collaborative interdisciplinary learning environment with a strong design research emphasis woven throughout the undergraduate and graduate curricula.
 
The School seeks candidates with the ability to teach general design principles with a deep understanding of design processes. The ideal candidate will also bring a specialized area of expertise to the department that we can incorporate into our curriculum and research culture. We seek an experienced candidate with expertise in one of the following areas: Interaction Design (UI/UX), Front-end Development, Human Computer Interaction, Content Strategy, Advanced and Emergent Manufacturing Techniques, or Design Research Methods. A relevant Master’s Degree is required, and a minimum 3 years of teaching experience or equivalent applicable professional experience is preferred. A relevant Ph.D. is preferred.
