[INTERN] LEO Digital Design Internship

LEO
Digital Design Internship
Company description:
Taking a child to the pediatrician shouldn’t be cumbersome and inconvenient. Leo is reinventing the way outpatient pediatric care is delivered by building a tech-enabled, customer-friendly practice experience that is better for parents, kids and providers.
At Leo, we’re re-imagining the experience of visiting the pediatrician from beginning to end. We are building pediatric practices from the ground up, equipping them with unparalleled mobile and web tools, work flow designs that maximize the time patients spend with doctors, and physical space that is centered around the patient. Our practices will focus on reducing complexity, improving customer service and integrating powerful technology throughout the care process: from booking appointments, communicating with doctors, and checking in, to bill payment, prescription management and accessing health information and parenting resources after a visit.
Leo isn’t a healthcare company in the traditional sense. Rather, it is a technology, consumer products, and customer service company, whose product is the best outpatient pediatric medical care in the world.
Your role:
As a Leo digital design intern, you will be responsible for working with the core Leo team to help make everything that represents Leo into something beautiful. This includes everything from mobile app and web site mock ups and pitch documents for potential investors, to explanatory customer and partner facing collateral and surveys for market research.
About you:
You have experience designing consumer-facing user interfaces in web and mobile applications, and the ability to design beautiful infographics, documents, collateral, wireframes, and mock-ups that will clearly communicate the core of Leo’s business. Throughout, you’ve got your eye on the big picture, but you never let a little detail slip. You are an independent thinker and a self-starter, but you work well with a team. You can create great work products with little direction, but you know when to ask for help.
Skills:
• Illustration, Animation, Layout, Typography, Motion Graphics
• Web/Graphic design, UI design
• Collateral creation – marketing/other
• Expertise in Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator
While experience in healthcare is not required, you should be excited by the idea of re-imagining the way the world delivers healthcare to kids.
Note:
We are able to work quickly to finalize an internship with students who are interested in receiving course credit for the fall semester. A small stipend may be available for exceptionally qualified candidates.
