Role
iJento is seeking a highly motivated UI/UX Designer in our New York City office to lead, manage and direct all of the user interface related activities for all of our internal and externally facing products.
We are looking for candidates that have multiple years of UX and UI experience, and an ability to create simple, innovative, and elegant design solutions for complex products. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, understands the benefits of agile development, and is passionate about empowering users.
This individual will be responsible for the entire look-and-feel of the iJento platform, as well as several internal products. You will work in an Agile development model where learning, sketching and iterating are key to success, as you work on a variety of products including a creative design/development environment, project management environment, metrics GUI, and dashboard, all packaged to create a complete web-based SaaS application.
The Designer will collaborate and work closely with a variety of individuals and groups across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
- 3 – 7 years of UI/UX experience with SaaS products or Cloud-based technology platform
- Demonstrable experience developing delightful user experiences with HTML5, CSS, angularjs or similar javascript frameworks.
- Think around not ‘how should it look’ but ‘how should it flow and feel’.
- Be THE evangelist for UX and UI best practices and design excellence across the entire product line and platforms
- Define interaction flow and make aesthetic decisions for the design and technical execution
- Constantly listens to our customers and adjusts direction based on their needs, including user testing
- Familiar with node js build and automated test tools.
- Work with our serverside engineering team to communicate precise data requirements and coordinate development dependencies.
