[JOB] Materials Librarian, ESI Design

We are seeking a Materials Librarian Intern interested in discovering innovative materials and methods that can lead to inspiration and creativity.
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
o Managing and directing implementation and organization of the materials library
o Working with leadership of all disciplines to grow library resources and services to support business needs
o Maintaining, at all times, the highest standards of design and vendor management
o Developing library usage guidelines and procedures for collection development and maintenance, circulation, and research requests from each design group
o Sourcing innovative materials, ordering, cataloging and classifying library
o Coordinating with vendors for in-house as well as off-site presentations
o Assisting Designers in locating resources, answering inquiries and researching information related to specific projects
o Assist with design presentations and material boards
o Organizing and archiving project data and materials
Qualifications:
o Undergraduate Degree in industrial design, interior design, or architecture
o Experience in specifying high-performance finishes and materials for commercial projects including exterior and interior architecture finishes and materials; high-end design materials; local, national and international materials sourcing and procurement standards
o Experience in the ordering, sourcing, costs and lead times of contract materials
o Experience in the value-engineering process for contract materials
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and InDesign
o Good verbal and written communication skills
o Detail oriented and organized
