Dynamic Digital Marketing Intern
We are an organisation focused on progressive reform to schools to better meet the needs of modern learners. We produce a range of resources for our subscribers including a bi-weekly newsletter that targets educational leadership, and we are looking for someone to build our free and paid subscriber list of email customers for www.modernlearners.com
This is a part-time role of approximately 2-3 days per week in a possibly ongoing role.
We’re looking for an Email Marketing Intern to help us leverage our email channel to increase sales and awareness.
Responsibilities:
- Develop email marketing strategies and campaigns to reach out to new users and re-engage existing customers
- Compose email-friendly designs following best practices for customer acquisition
- Compile reports and analytics using key success metrics
- Identify and develop promotion strategies for new products, features and announcements
- Identify potential affiliate organisations and list we can partner with and leverage.
- Manage email and database marketing tools…
- Write copy for upcoming email campaigns to educational leaders, manager WordPress Member site, launch and report results of email campaigns, and brainstorm ideas for future campaigns.
Requirements:
You should have some experience and/or a genuine interest in email marketing, list management and lead generation, using MailChimp (or similar) and other digital marketing tools, including social media tools.

- · An understanding and passion for growing audience and helping build a successful marketing list
- · Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, organized
- · Excellent oral and written communication skills
- · Ability to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision
- · Enjoy writing and can create concise, professional content quickly
- · Have the ability to work for a minimum of 20 hours per week for at least the next 6 months and hopefully beyond to an ongoing position.
Nice to have:
- Experience managing web sites and/or optimizing them for SEO
- Familiar with SEO tools such as Google’s Keyword Tool, Rank Tracking software, and Google Webmaster Tools
- Knowledge of SEO industry trends and search engine algorithm updates
- Avid reader of multiple industry sites, blogs and publications
- Knowledge of online business models and internet/consumer technology
- WordPress, Photoshop, or video editing skills
- Experience managing web sites, Twitter and Linked In accounts.
The position is paid, around $15/hr neg. is done remotely, and while we are based out of New Jersey,
