Prudential is seeking a talented User Experience Designer to develop the next generation of our digital experience. You will collaborate directly with our team of designers as well as our product and marketing owners to understand user needs and turn them into a beautiful, intuitive, insightful interfaces. You will work with a cross-disciplinary team in a fantastic atmosphere creating the best visual experience on the web.

This person must be able to take direction well, be team oriented, as well as take initiative. Expert level grasp of applicable software is required, Axure, Sketch, Omnigraffle or other UX software, as well as a strong understanding of web technologies. Must have a very strong UX portfolio, reflecting solid UX design experience and production skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and understand the various complexities of our user needs as they relate to our digital experience.
  • Partner directly with design team to produce an engaging digital experience that can be realistically translated by our development team.
  • Create mockups, wireframes & visualizations as needed to communicate design ideas.
  • Communicate (via annotations & descriptions) interactions within wireframes for development.
  • Test designs for usability issues ahead of development.

 
Requirements:

·        At least 6 years of experience as a UX designer, information designer, interaction designer, or similar role.

·        Experience developing Responsive and Mobile-First approaches for large scale websites.

·        Proven experience leading user-centered design practices across various properties.

·        A strong online portfolio which demonstrates both approaches and solutions to the various phases of user-centered design, as well as a strong visual style.

·        Excellent communication skills (both in conversation and in writing).

·        Experience with data visualization.

·        Ability to work under deadlines and within a dynamic environment.

·        Experience in Financial Services is a huge plus.

·        Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree preferred
