Network Security Software Engineer

This position is part of a small, tactical group within DoubleVerify that is launching an industry-changing publisher product. The product will help publishers interact with the ad industry in a much more secure way, reducing the risks of malware and bad actors compromising publishers’ sites. Responsibilities

Research, design, and develop for our publisher security product
-
Innovate and develop for our security solution. Our systems have to be ultra-low latency and handle an astronomical amount of calls per day.

Work hand in hand with product and back-end engineering roles.
-
Create innovative ways of handling “cat and mouse” developments by bad actors who are extremely sophisticated and well financed.

Enhance and create large scale distributed systems to process billions of objects with strict SLAs
-
Adhere to high scale concepts such as share nothing, lock-free data structures, etc.

Design and implement a large variety of components in many programming languages: C#, python, C++, JavaScript, etc.

Learn and get updated about new concepts, technologies and practices
-
Follow agile methodologies of rapid development and continuous integration
-
Fine tune real time ad serving systems, optimizing to the micro second level

Model and define APIs for external systems
-
Performing code reviews for peers as well as pair programming
-
Ensure all software components are automatically-testable and monitor-able
Requirements
-
Versatility and knowledge in many technologies and in particular: C#, python, MongoDB, Redis, Node.
js, Veritca, Cognos, SQLServer, Hadoop -
At least 2 years of experience in .NET technology

At least 2 years of experience SQL Server or other relational DB development
-
At least 2 years of experience in Scalable and big-data systems
-
Strong working knowledge of Application Firewalls, Proxy and Reverse Proxy solutions
-
Experience with proxy and reverse-proxy solutions such as NGINX and Varnish
-
Good communication skills – a team player.

Experience in the Online Advertising domain is an advantage.

MBA or BA in Computer Science or related field of study

Requirements

Expertise in native JavaScript development without libraries and packages

Deep knowledge of Browsers and rendering engine internals

Ability to reverse engineer code

Ability to build JavaScript libraries

Experience creating solutions to new problems

Bachelor’s Degree in a computer science or analytical field and 3+ years building web applications

Experience with server-side development is a plus
