Vessel Works Team is looking for an enthusiastic summer
intern to be part of their invigorating team of makers, thinkers, and
doers! Vessel Works (http://vesselwrks.com/) is a social impact venture
that works to solve the paper & plastic to-go cup problem. It’s free
to the public, benefits local businesses, reduces waste for cities and
provides communities with a superior option to single-use disposables.
This is an exciting opportunity to participate in product development
from the ground up. The position starts July 11th and runs through
the first week of September. The candidate is required to be available
20 hours/week, work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team, have
general enthusiasm towards managing Startup tasks and must have the
following qualifications:
Experience working with Raspberry Pi GPIO, physical computing, Python
scripting, basic HTML/CSS/JS. Familiarity with RFID/NFC technology is a
plus.
Primary responsibilities will be integrating a new NFC card reader over
USB serial into an existing Raspberry Pi setup. Also integrating
GPIO-controlled LED indicator lights. The intern will also need to be
available to troubleshoot devices as they are tested on location in cafés.
