Position Summary:

NYU’s prestigious Leonard N. Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Director of Communications in the Undergraduate College. The selected candidate will work with the Undergraduate College Public Affairs team on all marketing communications efforts for a multitude of audiences, including prospective and current students and their parents, faculty, staff, recruiters and alumni. S/he will execute digital content strategy using a broad spectrum of tools (web content management, e-mail, social media, video, search engine optimization, etc.). The selected candidate will develop and maintain systems and procedures for managing and streamlining cohesive and holistic communications. Other responsibilities include tracking, assembling, understanding, and reporting metrics and data to measure outcomes of marketing programs, as well as researching and soliciting bids for services with select vendors, including videographers, photographers, designers, and writers.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must include experience in the digital space including managing website(s), blog(s), interactive content, social media, and/or other online platforms, preferably in the context of a college or university, similar organization, or agency. Candidates should have experience in writing, web communications, and marketing with a focus on using new media and digital media to deliver integrated messages to key audiences. An understanding of basic HTML, Dreamweaver, graphic design, and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, and Instagram is preferred, as well as a knowledge of Google Analytics and analyzing web and social media metrics.
