JOB DESCRIPTION – FREELANCE -P/T SOLDER TECH
We love technology and creativity. We seek a sharp and nimble Solder Tech to join our team on a contract, P/T basis as we design and develop the first real-time location platform for groups — no phone, cell network, wifi or map required.
Timing:
ImmediateLocation:
New Lab, located in the Brooklyn Navy yard.
Rate:
$25 – $35/hour
Duties:
Solder surface mount components (fine-pitch QFN, DFN, 0201 passives etc.).
Perform visual inspection of PCB’s to ensure internal standards of quality.
Reflow and rework 0201 and leadless components easily.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Experience soldering surface mount components, particularly 0201 passives and leadless (QFN, DFN, etc.) packages.
Experience inspecting surface mount components using a microscope.
Good working knowledge of ESD safety procedures.
Expected to read and comprehend process documentation including Bills of Materials (BOM) and assembly drawings.
Expected to communicate well in English both verbally and in written format.
Component identification ability required.
Candidates should be very organized with the ability to keep count of parts.
Candidates should have the ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
