Quality Engineer
SUMMARY:
BioLite is seeking a well-rounded, hands-on and flexible engineer to join the Manufacturing team in
bringing new products to life and ensuring the highest level of quality for in-line product
manufacture. In this multi-faceted role, you’ll wear several different hats as you support internal
teams including Product Development, Customer Service, Sales and Marketing, helping us fulfill our
promise of bringing energy everywhere.

LOCATION: Brooklyn, NY
REPORTS TO: Director of Manufacture
COMPENSATION: Salary is competitive with other early-stage companies, including benefits,

KEY ACTIVITIES:
• Performance validation testing—Review and perform extensive product performance validation
testing of new products, during the product development phases and during transition from
development to manufacture.
• Oversee quality containment and issue resolution—Manage the identification, root cause
analysis, and resolution of quality issues as they arise at our warehouses and in the field.
• In-line quality audits—Perform ongoing audits of all existing products based on a statistical
sampling plan, at BioLite headquarters and on-site at the factories in China and elsewhere.
• Product requirements definition—Work with the PD and Manufacturing teams to identify and
implement QA testing requirements for all products, including in-process and finished assembly
testing requirements.
• Quality reporting—Provide regular status reports outlining audit activities and findings. Identify,
escalate, and address high priority issues in collaboration with PD, Customer Services, Dealer
Services, and manufacturing partners.
• Quality systems development—Work with Sr. Manufacturing Engingeering and Operations
team to develop and implement robust inline QC and maintain adequate ongoing quality
assurance documentation and testing. Build and integrate testing and inspection tools and
capabilities within the company and for our manufacturing partners.
• Project Management—Support, plan, and drive individual projects to meet milestones and
implementation deadlines. Coordinate product improvement efforts between BioLite and our
manufacturing partners.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• MfgE, ME or related technical four-year degree is required for this position
• Accountability, sense of humor, proactive nature and strong work ethic with a get-it-done attitude
• Capable in experimentation, testing, analysis, and research
• High level of comfort working with internal technical teams including Mechanical Engineering and
Electrical Engineering
• Electronics knowledge and experience in electronics manufacture a strong plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to communicate ideas clearly through
sketches/email.
• Extremely detail oriented and organized
• Working knowledge of plastic materials, injection molding, sheet metal, and die-casting
• 2+ years’ experience in a relevant field working directly with hardgoods manufacture and testing
• Intermediate level Solidworks, ProE, or AutoDesk skills a plus
