Since 1993, A.I.R. Gallery has supported underrepresented and emerging female artists through its Fellowship Program. Six artists awarded the A.I.R. Fellowship will receive a solo exhibition sponsored in full by the gallery, as well as development workshops with a professional in the field, a one-on-one studio visit with one of the review panelists, an artist-mentor at A.I.R. Gallery to work with throughout the program, and much more. This curated Fellowship Program is designed to encourage new artistic practices and to increase dialogue within A.I.R. Gallery and the greater Art Community. The 2020-21 Fellowship Panelists are Gina Beavers, artist, whose solo exhibition is currently on view at MoMA PS1; Monica de la Torre, contributing editor to BOMB Magazine and professor at Brooklyn College; Nicole Russo, owner and director of Chapter NY.
