Digital Imaging Lab Technical Assistant
The Digital Imaging Lab Technical Assistant will provide support for and maintain general operations of the Department of Photography & Imaging digital imaging (Mac) computer labs, including professional photographic hardware, and post-production and editing software.
Digilab TAs have knowledge of software and hardware for design and professional photographic editing and printing. Consistency and attention to detail are essential. Must be self-initiated problem-solver and researcher possessing creativity and patience with a growing list of technologies.
Knowledge of Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, macOS are required.
Additional experience with audio/video post-production and archive best practices, professional printing and scanning workflows, multimedia and new media (3D or VR), and social media is preferred.
We are interested in applications from both undergraduate and graduate students. Must have federal work-study.
Required Skills:
– Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro;
– Background with professional inkjet printers and large format and virtual-drum scanners;
– Advanced knowledge in macOS operating systems including experience with disk imaging, software configuration, installation, and troubleshooting.
