The Upward podcast, under production now and launching in the next few months, will focus on interviewing entrepreneurs and intrapraneurs who are driving change and tackling the thorniest problems of our day in for-profit ways, and finding success in doing so. Each episode will focus on a different guest who is driving change, and highlight what that person has done to find success. Together, the episodes will function as a series of how-tos for listeners wanting to replicate that change in their own organizations and startups.
Initial guests for the podcast include:
-
The Sustainability Engineering Lead at Uber
-
The CEO of Banqu, a blockchain company that enables subsistence farmers around the world to become bankable
-
The Director of Sustainability for The RealReal
-
The Director of West Africa Plastics Recyclability for Unilever
I need an associate / manager to help run this with me.
The job will be around 5 hours per week initially – could grow to more.
This person will work to:
-
drive audience growth
-
identify new guests + connect with them
-
manage workflow
-
publish finished pieces (not edit however)
No prior experience with podcasting or publishing is required. I’m looking for someone who is organized and good at figuring things out and driving without a lot of instruction or hand holding. Interest in the focus area is a strong plus.
This is a perfect job for a student – flexible hours, interesting work, opportunity to learn new skills and be operating at a pretty high level fairly quickly.
