Seeking a Software and Hardware Technology Architect Consultant
Who we are:
Crea Interactivity is an NYC-based startup that’s re-imagining the physical education landscape by developing interactive and immersive physical experiences for kids. We are leveraging new technologies to make physical activity more engaging by combining it with traditional active play and fitness techniques. The company has prototyped three responsive augmented reality games that are currently being tested at P.S. 126 – an NYC public school on the Lower East Side- and we are planning on building two more games in the next six months.
We are seeking a Software and Hardware Technology Architect to work with us on a consultancy basis to assess our hardware architecture and troubleshoot the calibration and responsiveness issues we are currently experiencing with our games. A consulting relationship would include compensation and could lead to a more long-term working relationship over time. The right candidate does not need to possess all the skills/experience listed below.
Your Duties:
*Help refine our existing prototypes using Unity 3D and various hardware;
*Assess project specifications for technological feasibility, required production time & resources, and options for execution.
*Work with the team to ensure the execution of product and timeline goals are being met;
*Build with mixed reality and video mapping hardware (Orbecc, Arduino, Real Sense, projectors, etc)
Skills & Experience:
*Experience with software and hardware development and deployment required for depth cameras, various sensors, interactive projectors, etc.
*Programming experience with Unity
*Knowledge of C/C++/C#/Objective C or Java;
*Moderate level of understanding of augmented/virtual reality experiences
*Experience with agile development
*Ability to keep organized, readable, and easily maintainable code
