A VFX and Virtual Production studio is looking for a Virtual Production Developer with experience in Unreal Engine to help build our Virtual Production toolset and pipeline. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and be able to design and implement features and tools with little to no direction. This position requires a person with a broad set of technical skills who is ready to work in a fast-paced environment for cinema, music videos, and television.
What your responsibilities will be:
- Build Virtual Production toolsets and pipelines primarily in Unreal Engine, but also in DCC’s such as Maya and Houdini
- In-engine problem solving, willing to use outside-of-the-box solutions
- Performance profiling and optimization
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of experience with Unreal Engine
- Excellent C++ skills
- Well versed in software engineering principles
- Experience setting up and maintaining systems and procedures for revision control such as Perforce preferred
- Familiarity with virtual production and film/tv production workflows a bonus
- An open mind and exploratory spirit (i.e. someone who is willing to collaborate with our Senior Developer to take risks, try new things, fail, and find creative solutions together)
- Strong communication skills
Interested parties should be prepared to work in-person at our facility in South Pasadena, CA. Candidates should be comfortable around small dogs.
Hourly rate commensurate with experience.
