Community shop prototyping technician & machine operator. Work as a member of the Product Realization team in Detroit! Help members realize their projects on state of the art equipment in the historic Book Depository building.
Full Position Description and Application
We are looking for qualified candidates with experience in community/academic shops. Ideal candidates will have expertise in at least one shop area and the flexibility to work across areas. This is a full time, salaried position working M-F 9am-5pm. The shops will be brand new and the membership is eager to start utilizing the space. We are hiring 3 managers asap (wood, metal, electronics) with the hopes to hire 2 more (CNC machining, robotics) before the end of 2023.
