JOB: Graduate Assistant Position in Art & Public Policy

Professor in the Tisch Department of Art & Public Policy is hiring a Graduate Assistant who must be adept at conducting research (online, books, archival) into themes and materials related to art making and critical theory, and who is able to perform light clerical and administrative work. Tasks will include: archival research at NYU and online, social media assets and marketing, procurement of books and other materials for research, coordination of calendar, and light copy editing. 

Communication and coordination will happen in person, and digitally by email, Zoom, Slack, phone, and text. Assistant will check in with supervisor on a weekly basis for evaluation of work.

Students must be well organized, self-motivated, detail oriented, proactive and a great communicator. Pay is $28.25 per hour, 6 hours per week.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly base salary range for student employment positions are $15-$17 per hour for undergraduate students and $28.25-$29 per hour for graduate students. The hourly rate for graduate employees is based on the collective bargaining agreement with Local 2110.
