Kevin Cunnngham will lead a group internship course centered on the creation of. a new experimental immersive venue that will open in late May 2026. Students will be integrated into an interdisciplinary creative team that will design and build a new kind of immersive venue focused on idependent and non profit arts. Students will be involved in the planning design, media creation and rehearsal and film shoots for the project under the guidance of a team of veteran artists.
In May-July of 2026 3LD Art & Technology will inhabit the Ellen Stewart Theater at La Mama Experimental Theater for 8 weeks. We will install a version of our Mixed Reality Bridge System and turn the theater into a 7500 square foot
flexible immersive space.The space will host two new immersive theater works by3LD: Chuck Mee and Kevin Cunningham’s collaboration, Not Knowing and related Late-Night Show co-created with the cast of Not Knowing will also be presented.
During the day, 3LD will present 2-3 curated shows of Immersive and interactive art. Between these shows wewill also host several 3LD Artists’ Training Workshops that will introduce artists from around the world to powerful affordable digital tools that will help them do more with lessand increases their ability to produce exciting interdisciplinaryworks at expanding complexity, scale and quality.
