This lab is well suited for students in computer science, data science, business, design, or related fields who are interested in applying AI in practical, enterprise-relevant contexts.
Focus Area: Enterprise-Ready Agentic AI
Participants will design and build agentic AI solutions that address real-world industry challenges, gaining hands-on experience with technologies shaping the future of work.
What Students Will Do
- Complete self-paced learning modules and attend live sessions with IBM and industry experts
- Apply design thinking and agile methods to real-world challenges
- Build and present an AI prototype using IBM watsonx and open-source tech
- Collaborate in diverse, multidisciplinary teams

Who Can Join?
Open to teams of second- to fourth-year students actively enrolled at universities, colleges, community colleges, or vocational/technical schools in the United States or United Kingdom.
Teams Will:
- Explore IBM’s agentic AI tools
- Design and build AI-driven solutions
- Work on real industry challenges and showcase projects to IBM experts
Before Applying
- Form a team of 1–5 students
- Be prepared to design and build an AI prototype as part of the program
- Ensure at least one team member has technical or coding skills
- Each team should also choose:
- A team name
- A team leader
