Autodesk’s Sustainability Solutions group is a rapid prototyping lab within the company that looks for opportunities to make apps and technology modules that make sustainability easy, insightful and cost-effective for those using Autodesk software in the Manufacturing, Buildings, and Infrastructure industries.
As Sustainable Manufacturing Intern, you will gain real-world experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. In this role, you will collaborate with Autodesk’s product groups, technology experts, and external partners to develop a prototype and business plan for new technology.
This high-visibility internship focuses on investigating possible apps for the manufacturing sector. More specifically, the internship will help industrial designers and mechanical engineers struggling to design and engineer better performing, more recyclable, less environmentally impactful products.

Project Role
• Prototype Sustainable Manufacturing Apps with Autodesk partners – both existing and new – that augment Autodesk’s current product design solutions
• Work closely with our key customers and partners to test these Apps while collecting requirements
• Produce technical marketing videos
• Deliver results to executives, including the market opportunity and technology solution.
Requirements
• Must be enrolled as a student in an accredited program with at least one term to complete after the internship.
• Graduate student in business, environmental science, or mechanical engineering, ideally with a focus on sustainability and near graduation
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to convey complex information in a polished, clear, concise, and professional manner
• Ability to work in a team environment and build relationships throughout the Company
Preferred Qualifications
• Engineering background and/or experience in a high-tech company
• Knowledge of product-level sustainability labels and standards
• Knowledge of or experience in Autodesk software
• Proven results in a project management role.
