We have begun our incorporation process with Wilson Sonsini and are currently collaborating with a handful of industrial designers in Italy, Canada and NYC. Our company will be called SENSOKA.While Apple and Samsung are falling over themselves looking to build a smartphone on the wrist, we’re looking to up the ante by measuring positive, neutral and negative emotions, and most importantly, providing biofeedback to facilitate inducing positive emotions. Why do positive emotions matter? Barbara Fredrickson, “the genius of the positive psychology movement”, has scientifically proven that positive emotions enhance creativity, generate better ideas and foster better interpersonal connections. I’m looking for a designer to use Processing to brilliantly visualize emotional biofeedback which will (1) produce emotional intelligence (2) improve decision making, and (3) allow for emotional connection with oneself and others by sharing emotions through social networks (emoticons be damned!). In other words, emotion regulation could change how humanity creates, collaborates and evolves because emotions are at the core of all that we do. Our favorite industrial design rendering is this (I hope it excites a prospective Processing programmer): http://www.behance.net/ gallery/The-Watch/7165533
