RAA Media is currently accepting applications for one Production Intern position and one User Experience Design & Prototyping Intern. The successful candidates will join a team drawn from a diversity of media spheres—from advertising and interaction design to documentary film and installation work, from social media to print graphics—all of whom bring a wealth of experience and perspectives to creating rich media environments for cultural and corporate clients in the U.S. and abroad.
The Prototyping Intern will work with the team to rapidly design proposed user experiences for upcoming client-based projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working on collaborative team projects in interaction design and with a range of creative coding techniques. He or she will have a passion for visual design, possess strong analytical skills and have at least two years demonstrated experience with at least one interactive prototyping tools: Processing, OpenFrameworks, Flash, etc.
The Production Intern will participate in all aspects of planning, creating and managing visual assets for RAA Media. He or she must have a background in film, television or equivalent production experience and be passionate about creating visually compelling moving stories. The successful candidate will be a master of details, have experience shooting with a 5D or equivalent camera and will have competency in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Suite. The candidate will actively manage a variety of tasks including overseeing deliverables, planning shoot logistics, archiving assets, researching stock footage and working with editors, animators and developers on multiple projects in process. He or she will be deeply involved in learning the in and outs of the media production workflow for physical spaces.
In addition to responsibilities listed above, interns should expect to pitch in with general office upkeep and administrative duties.
These are full-time, paid internships. The length of the internship is 12 weeks over the summer; start- and end-dates are flexible.
