Creative Technology Intern – Edelman’s Strategic and Creative Guild
As a top ranked public relations firm and the biggest social media agency, Edelman has spent the past 60 years redefining the industry. Today, we continue to push the boundaries of what PR is about and pioneer new possibilities for our clients.
This is where you come in:
Edelman is seeking a Creative Technologist who has familiarity with several technologies/languages/stacks in support of creating meaningful, impactful, original interactions to join its burgeoning Strategy + Creative Guild for a (paid) internship experience.
We are looking for curious minds that possess a desire to experiment with new technologies and make things work in a new way. What’s important is the way you look at the world and your ability to come up with cut-through ideas and present them in a compelling way. An experience at Edelman is a very real opportunity for you to flex your creative muscle and have an immediate impact on some of the world’s leading brands.
Our mission in the Strategy + Creative Guild is to conceptualize and deliver big, engaging, channel-agnostic ideas on behalf of our clients – amongst which you’ll find some of the greatest brands in the world: Starbucks, Axe, Dove, Smirnoff, Heineken, Dos Equis, Trojan, Axe, Heinz, and more.
From day one, we’ll invite you to help push the edges of our collective creative envelope. Apply your best box-free thinking to the creative challenges we solve on behalf of our clients every day, across a multitude of industries and disciplines.
Interested? Drop us a line! Send resumes and portfolios to Madeline Rubin (recruitment specialist) at Madeline.Rubin@edelman.com.
Must haves:
-Experience with any of the following programs: Open Frameworks, micro controllers (Arduino), iOS & Objective C, interactive installations, front-end layers (CSS, JS, etc.).
-A passion for digital technology in all its forms. Have you spent days wondering what makes an idea “big”? Have you analyzed what makes people interested in a concept and how do you get people to engage with it? Even better, have you applied it to challenges in your own life or community? At the end of the day, do you eat, drink, live and breathe creative?
-A genuine curiosity about the world. Are you interested and interesting?
-A wo(man) of the world who can wear many hats. Can you conceptualize and develop ideas that work across all platforms? Can you also contribute effectively across our range of client sectors, CPMG, B-2-B, Healthcare, Technology, etc.
-An ability to play well with others. We’re looking for a person who combines Mahatma and a Genghis Khan (when convinced of the validity of your notion), with the wisdom of Solomon to know when to be which!
Conditions:
-Ability to work for three months (minimum) beginning immediately, part time schedules can be accommodated.
-Live in (or near) New York City.
