Women You Should Know® is a leading digital media property and community for and about dynamic women. Launched
in September 2011 by a duo of serial entrepreneurs, the site’s mission is to tell the untold stories of relatable, everyday
women across the country and globe who are making things happen in their world.
In addition to profiles of remarkable women, other overarching editorial content categories include women’s issues, girl
empowerment, home repair & improvement, career, consumer goods, health & wellness, entertainment, athletics,
political and off beat news.
WYSK is looking for a dynamic, energetic go‐getter with social media savvy and a no holds barred attitude. Interest in
women’s issues is a plus! The intern will be supervised by one of our co‐founders.
As an intern, you will gain hands‐on experience with social media campaigns and strategies that drive measurable
results. We pride ourselves on providing a creative and enriching work environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in creation of social media content (memes, videos, posts)
Maintain social media identities
Keep up on social media trends
Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
Internet research
Various administrative duties
Qualifications
A strong awareness of and interest in social media
Experience with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube.
Proficiency in Photoshop or other graphic programs a must!
Excellent oral, written and communication skills
Interest in women’s issues and content
Meticulous attention to detail
A creative thinker who likes to come up with new and different ideas
Diligent work ethic and desire to learn
We are able to provide a flexible work schedule, but are looking for a 20 hour a week commitment.
