Assistant Professor of Design – Specializing in Interaction/Web Design
The Visual Arts Department of the Mason Gross School of the Arts,
Rutgers University, seeks an
accomplished interaction designer specializing in dynamic, screen-
based formats. Responsibilities
include: teaching web and interaction design to undergraduates,
developing the Design curriculum,
serving on departmental and university committees, and continuing
professional activity and/or scholarly
research.
Qualifications:
– MFA in Design or equivalent
– Minimum of three years teaching experience of interaction, web,
experience, and motion design and
related programming at the college level
– Demonstrated grounding in formal design principles, design processes
and creative problem solving;
knowledge of web/interactive industry; expertise in creative programming
– Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of critical theory as it
pertains to web design and interactivity.
– Professional recognition, such as publication and awards, for web/
interactive work
